MITOcare™

The Anti-aging Formula with Alpha Lipoic Acid 150 mg and Acetyl L-Carnitine 400 mg for MITOchondrial Cellular Health and Protection against Aging Conditions.

Mitochondria, the "power-plant" of the cell, play a vital role in health, disease and ageing. Free radicals are naturally produced in the mitochondria as by-products of energy production. These reactive free radicals can cause damage to mitochondria DNA (mtDNA), and mitochondria membranes, and adversely affecting mitochondria function of energy production.

Mitochondrial damage has been linked to over 200 inherited diseases including diabetes, cancer, cardiovascular disease, strokes, Alzheimer's disease etc. Taking care of your mitochondria helps prevent many of the common age-related degenerative diseases such as diabetes, cancer, cardiovascular disease, strokes, Alzheimer's disease etc.

CoQ10 is a powerful antioxidant. Its location in the mitochondria, the very site where free radicals are generated is proven to be beneficial in preventing damage to mitochondria membranes and mtDNA, which could directly reduce energy production. In this respect, CoQ10 complements the action of Alpha Lipoic Acid which is also a powerful antioxidant.

You should consider taking CoQ10 together with the combination of Alpha Lipoic Acid together with Acetyl L-Carnitine as they complement each other in taking care of the mitochondria and ultimately, your health for many years to come.

Q1. If I am taking alpha lipoic supplement already, will it be an overdose if I were to take Live-well MITOcare? What is the safety limit?

The therapeutic dose for lipoic acid is 600-800 mg/day. Lipoic acid appears to have no significant side effects at dosages up to 1,800 mg daily.

Note: The no-observed-adverse-effect level (NOAEL) is considered to be 60 mg/kg bw/day.

Q2. Do I need or can I take Live-well MITOcare if I am already taking Live-well MEMOsential?

You can still add on Live-well MITOcare if you are already taking Live-well MEMOsential if you want to benefit from alpha lipoic acid'ss antioxidant properties.
